How It Works

Botulinum toxin is a neurological exotoxin. It is injected into the muscles that cause wrinkles and acts on the peripheral motor nerve endings, neuromuscular junctions (synapses), inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters from the presynaptic membrane and blocking the release of acetylcholine, thus causing a decrease in muscle tone or paralysis and the gradual disappearance of wrinkles, thus achieving the effect of treating facial wrinkles. Botox® does not require any sedation or anesthesia. Patients can continue with normal activities immediately after the treatment, which can be done during a lunch break and does not affect the work schedule at all.

Precautions

Contraindications

Treatment is prohibited if patients have liver function impairment or internal organ diseases.
Treatment is prohibited if patients have inflammation or infection in the treatment area.
Treatment is prohibited if patients have allergies.
Treatment is prohibited if patients have myasthenia gravis and multiple sclerosis.
Treatment is prohibited if patients are taking drugs that may affect coagulation function.
Treatment is prohibited if patients have systemic diseases such as leukemia, lupus erythematosus, severe diabetes, and more.

After Treatment Care

1.Avoid wearing makeup on the day of treatment.

2.Do not lie flat for 4 hours after the treatment.

3.Avoid direct contact with high-temperature environment for 14 days, such as sun exposure, sauna, steam bath, hot yoga, strenuous exercise, etc.

4.Avoid smoking and alcohol 2 weeks after treatment.

5.Avoid salty or spicy food for 3 days after treatment.

6.Avoid massage, laser treatment, chemical peel for 14 days after treatment.
